An Fómhar (Mí Dheireadh Fómhair)
Often wondered why no matching cabinet on the right side. But to accommodate that, the leaded glass bookcase would have to open onto the dining room side. Since that decision was made by the builder, so be it. Besides, the space works well for a Christmas tree.
ha- We are purchasing a craftsman style home, and I am thrilled to find this blog... Ours also has a beautiful leaded glass cabnit on the left, and none on the right.. my first thought too was- perfect place for the Christmas tree. I did see some pieces of wood in the attic that may have been a built in bench?
